Insulators plan on blowing insulation into the flat areas of the attic. My question is, does there need to be a vapor barrier between the sheet rock and the blown in insulation? Thanks.

You don't need one for vapor, but I would put one down incase you would ever have to do some sheetrock work, and that would keep the insulation from falling down. Cheap, easy to so, go for it.
