I am going to pull up carpet to expose very nice hardwood floors. What is the best way to remove the tackstrips without damaging the floor? Thanks!

In most cases, the tack strip is nailed to the floor. Start at one end with a thin pry bar and lift up the strip. You can use an old floor tile to protect the wooden floor from the pry bar. Move along slowly so you don't break the tack strip. This only makes it harder to remove the next nail. Be patient. If you take your time, you should do a minimum amount of damageto the floor.
