What can you hang on the hall walls?? I have a long hall way that is bare!

Any suggestions?

I should add that I am renting a townhouse so I can't paint anything on the wall but I can hang stuff.

I often see people using this space as a rogue gallery or family pictures alley. You can group selections of pictures to tell a story about someone or use any type of pictures grouped together that have something in common like flowers/herbs, etc... I am sure others out there have even more ideas.

I also have a long hallway without windows (dark and narrow). I'm thinking of installing wall sconces along the long wall and accenting it with a long narrow picture. On the short end wall, I'm thinking of installing a small shelf and possibly a mirror. I would LOVE some advice on this problem, too.
