How do I insulate around my new tub? It is in a dormer and has walls on three sides. I thought the Kraft-paper vapor barrier insulation would be a good choice but the Duroroc does not extend below the tub flange. This leaves the kraft paper exposed and according to the directions this is a fire hazard. How should this area be insulated? Thanks!

If you are concerned about the kraft paper being a fire hazard, use unfaced insulation below the tub flange and friction fit it between the studs. Attach a 3 mil or 4 mil plastic vapor barrier to the studs after you have the insulation in place.
