Are there any websites that can give me some ideas on how to use decorative wood moulding? I am interested in
how to use the ornament pieces which are swags, bows,
shells, etc. The manufacturer has website, but it has
the same information that is in their brochure. The manufacturer is ornamental mouldings.
Thanks. Kathy D.

I tried to find the web site you were talking about but couldn't with the info you gave. Do you have the site name? I would like to check it out to see what you are talking about. I have an idea of what you are talking about but I want to be sure.

Gina, the site is http://www.ornamental.com.
They will send you a booklet about their products
They also make orna-flex which is a flexible
moulding. I found this product at Home Depot
in Richmond VA

What types of projects do you plan on doing around the house? You can use these ornaments on almost anything. They are what I thought.

I would like to try moulding in dining room
ceiling around the light fixture. I've seen it in
magazines, on home shows, etc. It really looks
nice. I am not very creative, so if they don't have
a product especially for a ceiling, I'll continue
to look. The hard part is finding someone in
a discount home center with any knowledge to help you.
Actually, you're doing good if they ask if you need help.
Feel like I'm invisible. I get frustruated and leave.
The company has some pretty good ideas in the booklet. Kitchens look nice with additional decorative mouldings.
Is there a Home Depot in your town? You can pickup the
booklet and see all their products.
What are your plans? Kathy

These may not be your best choice. There are plaster designs made just for that purpose. Also, you might want to check out a type of wall paper that has raised designs that look like they could be metal if colored right. They may have a medallion shape. Yes, I think Home Depot is everywhere now. I am surprised that no one helps you. They are surpose to ask if you need help. At ours they ask a bit too often. Talk with the manager about the lack of help. Also, have you a Lowes near you? They advertise that they are always available to assist. I will see what H.D. has in that booklet. Oh, I just had another thought, try Resoration Supplies. I think thats their name. They are an east coast company. They have a catalog that has many things that can turn a new house old.

Restoration Supplies--Are you referring to
Restoration Hardware? I've been in their store
in Norfolk, VA. They have really neat stuff
for your home. Some items are expensive.
They have website. I think it
http://www.restorationhardware.com. Check it out.
Thanks for the tip about the moulding.
Lowes is here, too. I'll probably go by this weekend.
