I replace the thermostat in a roper gas oven and nothing happened. What did I do wrong? Any ideas

Did you first make a sketch of what wires were going to what terminals on the old thermostat?
Did you transfer the wires one at a time from the old thermostat to the new thermostat?
If the answer to both of these questions is NO, then you know what you did wrong.
