I just removed my lenoleum floor in my bathroom, and it looks like there's backerboard or something like that down (it's on the first floor of a condo). Can I tile over what is there or do I need to remove it to the floor board?

I would tile over it, but first I would make sure the backerboard is fastened down good and renail or screw it if its not.
