Help me please! My husband and I have been building this house for quite some time now. I have a jacuzi in my bathroom with no shower. We were trying to come up with an idea for a surround. We decided on a "tile look" (without the mess grout can cause) and purchased all the items needed for a wall board set up. Our local Lowe's "profesional" gave us the groove strips that hold the board in place and prevent water leakage. So far so good. We get it home and none of the pieces are what we think are correct, and when reading the back of the actual wall board, it recommends to simply leave a 1/8 " gap, then use silicone caulking. I guess what I am asking is, which is the more effective of the two methods and what is the inside corner piece ( of grooved strip ) supposed to look like. By the way we were glueing and caulking with both methods. Last question, are we just wasting time and $$ with this entire project?? Thanks for your time!

I THINK you and I are dealing with the same problem. We are also installing a Jacuzzi and need to adapt the edge to protect the area from shower water. Since our tub does not have a built-in tile flange, we ordered a tile flange kit. We got this through CCO Whirlpool in Rush NY. Their phone # is 800-343-8487. The part # is 5817. They will send the part to you. If you want to see the installation instructions, go to http://www.Jacuzzi.com,Customer Service, parts, general bath. See if this is what you need. We spent several days trying to research and resolve this situation(see my question to this same site!)and think this is the answer. Let us know what YOU find out! Good luck!

I want to add something to my reply: We are then placing WONDERBOARD into the tile flange groove. We are tiling but I think the surround you have in mind would be set the same way. Go to your local Home Depot and ask everyone you can for information. They will not let you down (No, I don't work for or have stock in Home Depot!)
