I was trying to make a shadow box for my husband for christmas. With my son helping me our staining darknesses turned out to be different. I would like to lighten the darker part to match the stain my son did. I always seem to to be a heavy dipper. Its not as pretty.
I messed up. Do I use the 2-part bleach I read from one of your other questions.

Good news and bad news on this one. As you're working on the same piece, it's going to be almost impossible to lighten the dark stain by itself to match the lighter. Your best bet will be to bleach the entire project and restain.
A 2 part bleach is the correct product for this task.
Applying a stain uniformly can be difficult when only one person is involved - 2 or more makes it almost impossible.
