deciding on water resistant greenboard or cement wonderboard--lumber yard said to consider installing "WEDI BUILDING PANEL"as a wall around the tub where the tiles will be placed. this apparently is a new product--has anyone used it??? how good is it ??

My theory is: If it hasn't been around for several years go with the stuff that has. Wonder board has a good track record. I learned the hard way with my siding. I tried a new product that was suppose to last 50 years. Five years later its rotting off my house! I used wonder board in my bathroom and have no problems.

Hardi-Backer is another great product, been around a while, and I like it better than Wonder Board.
