I spilled hot wax (hair removal wax) on my carpet. I have searched everywhere for ideas to remove this stain. Any ideas?

Now that the wax has cooled and hardened, it's time to re-heat and remove it. Simply take your steam iron. Fill it with water and turn it to the lowest setting that will produce steam. Place an old white towel over the wax and place the iron over the was. Leave the iron in place for a count of 10. Lift the iron and the cloth off the carpet. The heat of the iron/steam will re-melt the wax and the cloth will lift it off the carpet. You may have to repeat several times. However, don't leave the iron on the carpet for too long as it will most probably melt the carpet.

The advice that Ted gave you is good. The only thing that I would caution you about is be sure that the wax isn't colored. Red wax, in particular, can be a problem as the heat from the iron will actually cause the red color to "set" in the carpet, thus resulting in a stain on top of the original problem.
