i have an indoor fig plant...the leaves are dull and need to be "cleaned to shine" is there a home remedy i can use to shine up the leaves on this plant?

Sure is!

Milk is the best leaf shine on the market.

Use a little cotton wool and dab on each leaf, wiping off any excess.

You plant should shin like new!
