I would like to set the furnace fan blower (on position) to run continuosly in the winter at a low speed. It is now wired into the high connector. If I move it to the low slot, when the furnace kicks on, the blower stays on low? It won't run at the med-high setting, as on auto. Is their a way around this on the thermostate or by changing the wiring on the furnace? Running the blower all the time keeps the air temp more constant through out the house, but on high, its too noisy.
Hope someone have a work around for this?

Switch to low speed on the harnass or blower motor.MAKE sure you have a CLEAN filter.Reduced air flow MIGHT cycle unit on a high temp reset.IF YOU HAVE A/C you will have to switch back in the cooling season to high speed. We have answered a lot of ?s in the last few weeks about basements being cold.OUR recommendation has been to run with fan on.You just answered their ?s.YOU FEEL A MORE CONSTANT AND CONSISTENT HEAT THRU THE ENTIRE HOUSE WITH FAN RUNNING.THANKYOU pjubene.PDF

I would leave the furnace alone and run your ceiling fans to move air in the room. They use less power and are quiet.
