My old tub is cast iron & the finish is wasted.I am considering tearing the tub out & replacing it with a new one.If I do this will the old P-trap be located in the same place in the new tub?Also do I run the wonder board all the way down the wall before setting the new tub in place or do I place the tub & then run the wonder board?

Hey Glenn;
The drain should be in the same place on both tubs.
Set the new tub and then run the new wallboard down to the new tub. I would use some kind of cement backerboard.caulk the joint ,where tub and wall meet, then tile
