I am redoing my Kitchen and would like to replace my Linoleum floor with either a Pergo type or hardwood floor. The kitchen is on a concrete slab and not sure which would be best to use. I also intend to use a contractor and need to know which questions to ask when I procure the contractor and purchase the floor.

Thanks,

gene

If you can't find the answers after looking through the DIY message boards you could always look at ifloor.com, floorsearch.com or even look through a site I refound a few months ago as it's a message board that deals strictly with laminate flooring. Two hours at http://www.iswonline.com/research/index.html should set you straight with your contractor as you'll see and know how to avoid any failures

Hardwood flooring? Try Jeff at floorboards.com. in the floorboards forum..spend a few hours there as well. In the end, chances are great, you'll know more than your contractor.

Good Luck!
