While I iron I like to watch tv so I have to iron on the carpet. My ironing board is wobbely and I have dropped the iron 3 times. By the time I run around and pick it up I have the indent of the iron melted on the carpet. I have a Berber carpet. Can I do anything do bring up the nap again other than replacing? Would appreciate any help available.

What happens to nylon when you get it hot...It melts!!
