Now that my shower doors are off of my bathtub thanks to rvaughn's advice, I want to change the bathtub and take the tiles off the walls. Is this something a layperson can do or should I hire a specialist? Or can I take the tile off myself and get someone to install the tub? Any tips on how to would be great. Thanks.

Glad the advise helped on getting off the doors, somtimes I tend to ramble on. Can you tell us a little more about your bathroom layout, is the tub across the end of the room , does it set in, does the tile extend from the tub out into the bathroom walls? That kind of info.
