We have a Goodman GMP series heat/ac system. No pilot light, it has an electric ignitor, the furnace comes on, the vent motor kicks in, the ignitor heats up, the flame appears for about 5-10 seconds and when the ignitor shuts off the flame shuts off also. This only happens when the thermostat is set below 70 degrees. It will work good for awhile then this constant cycling on and off will start happening until we set the thermostat about to 72-74 or higher. We also have to turn the breaker off on the furnace for about 1/2 hour before we raise the thermostat setting to stop the cycling. Any suggestions?

What type of t'stat do you have? If mechanical, raise the heat anticipator.

On this goodman furnace's data sticker it should have a listing for the anticipator setting. On mechanical thermostats this is an adjustable dial or sliding wire/contact arrangement. The lower the #, the more heat the anticipator generates & can cycle the heat right off again, only to cool down & call for heat again. This is located just under the removable cover & is close to the heat sensing element of the t-stat.
