George,
A couple of months ago you replied to a question about refinishing bamboo furniture. I got the impression that bamboo can be stripped just as any wood. True? In other words, if I want to take on stripping a bamboo couch or chair, I don't need to take any precautions due to bamboo being a different material than wood. That is my impression from your answer, but I wanted to check it out before proceeding further.

Henry:
Your assumptions are correct. Bamboo can be treated like any other wood.
Stripping bamboo (in my opnion) is a project best left to a professional with a "flow-over" system. It's very difficult to do by hand.
