My cat has torn our carpet on corner of the door frame on the hallway side of the door. Each area is abt 3" x 8". I'd like to repair/replace w/ a 3' long x 8" wide strip across the doorway. I have a piece of carpeting that I can cut the strip from. What do I have to do to make it work??
Pls give detailed instructions...
Or should I call a carpenting company to have them repair it.

Your going to spend as much or more on tool rental to repair it, then if you just contacted an installer in your area to come put a saddle seam across the doorways.
