I just finished remodelling my 20 year old bathroom. I left the tiled floor for last. Before I start, is it imperative that I remove the newly installed toilet before I tile? Can/should I tile around it? If done right, can I tile around it? If I need to tile under it, how do I extend the waste pipe flange???
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ken,
Pull the toilet for three reasons: You may want to replace it down the road and you won't find one with the same base; most toilets develop seepage sooner or later and need to be pulled; and finally, the job will just look more professional.
There's actually a fourth reason, too. It's much easer to pull and replace it than it is to cut around it.
They make a thicker wax ring called an "extender."
