How can I make my white painted trim look like stained. Is there a kit or a kind of paint I can buy?

Hope:
By the phrase 'look stained' I assume you're trying to replicate the look of a clear finish - wood grain, varying colors, etc. This is what is called a 'faux' finish. I don't know of any kits available, but there are books on the subject if you're interested. They're available at either of the 2 sites listed below.
