The home I am considering buying has a brick kitchen floor and foyer. Although it is in good shape (no cracks, etc.) it looks terrible. I would like to put down ceramic tile over it. Is this possible or do I have to remove the brick floor first?

Hi gb,
Chances are that what you have are brick pavers and as long as they are solid and in good shape you should be able to tile directly on top of them.
