Before I invest any more money into window coverings, I'd like to get some opinions. What keeps the early morning sunlight out the best: shades or blinds. My bedroom faces due east, so I get ALOT of early morning sunshine.

I know there are several options, and options within these options. But overall, What Do You Feel is the Best Option to Keep My Bedroom Dark so I can sleep in longer (and avoid all the other home repairs!). The most cost effective the better, too!

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My husband works late so has to sleep in often. I have found that shades keep more light out than blinds. Blinds have more openings to let the light slip in. Shades are made in one piece so the light can get in only around the sides. They also have shades made with materal that is light on the outside but inside is a materal that keeps the light out. Try Hunter, I have found them at Home Depot.
