I purchased a home that was built in the heighth of the 1 inch square tile craze. I would like to update the half bath without tearing off the old tile. Is there a product or method to cover it and then apply wallpaper?

It's a little out of my department, but you can probably cover it with drywall mud. That stuff seems to stick to everything.
