View Full Version : resurface 30yo tile floor?

We just moved into a house with a tile floor entry. It is worn, scraped, "foggy" and generally looks poor. Some of the grout is very white. Is there some way to resurface the tile so that it's nicer looking? We live in the north and I think it's condition has something to do with the snow & salt. I also think I may have washed it improperly. Any ideas would be appreciated. I can't ruin it any more than it already is...well, maybe :) Thanks

Hey toobusy,
You could try an epoxy tub and tile refinishing kit (found at many homecenters) you may have to re-do it every so often being in a high traffic area of the home. As for the grout you could go with a grout colorant for that. Or better yet maybe re-tile that area.
