I am planning to install hardwood flooring (strip) by myself. I understand that there are three common types of installation, nail, glue, and float. I have a concrete slab and like to use glue or float. My questions are:
1. If the wood planks are glued directly to the concrete subfloor, how to take care of the moisture?
2. If the float method is used, would the wood planks be stable if the subfloor is not level? and how to take care of the problem?
Thanks.

Is this solid wood or engineered? Prefinished or sand in place?

It is engineered and pre-finished. Thanks

Which method of installation you use will depend on the manufacturer's recommendation for the product you buy. Both types of hardwood flooring require a flat, dry, sound subfloor. The use of urethane adhesive, like Bostik's Best, will give some protection from moisture but it won't stop excessive moisture, like hydrostatic pressure. The best way to flatten a concrete subfloor is to grind down the high spots and fill the lows with a portland based patch.
