We purchased a very old home with very old everything, including the floors. They are pine, old, and flaking. I know pine is soft. We have floor furnaces which make everything in our house very dry. Is there a way to help our floors for right now until we can afford to re-do them? They have been waxed a hundred billion times, so the places with little ware are beautiful. But those places are under tables, beds, and area rugs where my babies' feet don't usually wander. Are they just too old?
