Description: I have an attic that is a crawl space - very little room to even turn my head. There is currently insulation (low quality/insufficient) between the joists over their entire attic. I added additional insulation - Owen Cornings Miraflex (white cotton-like) insulation in one corner of the attic (25% of the attic). The result is that the insulation has taken up the entire attic space up to the roof in that corner. There is no free open space above the miraflex insulation.
Question: I was going to insulate the entire attic in that manner. However, the need for proper attic ventilation has caused me to reconsider. I was prompted to insulate in the first place due to higher temperatures on the second floor in the summer and colder termperatures in the winter. Should I remove the insulation and consider attic ventilations fans.

Are you talking about the ceiling-floor space between the first and second floors? If so, that usually has no means of ventilation, and generally isn't insulated unless it is to dampen noise. Or, is this above the ceiling of the second floor, and you have a flat roof? That should have ventilation, and you need to maintain an air gap between the top of the insulation and the roof sheathing.
