Hi,
I have noticed that our LP-fueled boiler's flames are yellow. There is also a black residue on the floor beneath. We have a working CO detector (which consistently reads "0"). I have opened the air intake ports on the burners, but see no change. What is the proper method of tuning the air/gas mix?
Thanks,
Bruce

get some one out to check it when you move the air mixture then you should see the flame get bigger or smaller and change colors .IT is possible that you are plugged there is 2 much fuel or the wrong orfice is installed. The black soot is a sign of something bad wrong get an expert

You need someone of knowlegde.A tuneup.Guarantee you your burners are dirty need to be remove and cleaned.Once that is done and all soot is removed the air shutters can be adjusted.Where is your CO monitor located??I am surprised that with the yellow flame(incomplete combustion) that it hasn't alarmed on you.PDF
