View Full Version : Interior Spray?

I am about to paint the interior of my house. I am a novice when it comes to Do it yourslef projects. Does anyone recommend using a spray gun or spray roller? I just got back from Home Depot and they had a Campbell Hauser Sprayer (Standard Duty) and Wagner spray gun and spray roller. Does anyone recommend any of these or should I just stick with the old paint brush and roller? I have to paint approximately 1700 Sq feet, so I thought the sprayer might make things go faster. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ron

On an interior re-paint about the only thing I use a spray rig on is the cabinets and doors (removing the doors to spray), sometimes the door jambs if there is no flooring. Everything else gets brushed and rolled. On 1700 sq ft I would just brush and roll, especially if you are not going to repaint the cabinets.

About the only way I would recomend someone to spray interior cabinets is if they have had sprayer experience anyway, you could create a bigger mess than you bargain for. Spraying takes experience and someone to show you the ropes, I wouldn't just cut someone loose with one.

Use quality brushes and rollers and quality paint from a pro paint store, proper surface preperation for best results.

Hope this helps,
