i used exterior semi-gloss to paint trim to be used on a door casing inside the home. will this be ok? I know not to us inside paint outside but what about the reverse? If not, should i do anything to the trim already painted?

Many moons ago when taking a painting course, I was told that exterior paints can put off fumes with time. That is about all I remember, I don't know if it was restrictied to oil or if it was both oil and latex and have heard nothing since then, so I don't know how true it is. Other than that, the paint will have better adhesion and wear and tear capabilities. I wouldn't worry about a little trim, just don't go and paint all your walls with exterior just to be safe.
