Just bought a house that has faux-wood paneling installed on one wall with a fireplace and two windows. We wanted to make some "build-ins" on that wall surrounding the fireplace; however, the old radiator is only a few inches in front of the wall on one side and probably will not allow us to do this. Otherwise, we could simply paint the paneling and it wouldn't much matter. However, we would like to remove the panelin (and hope for the best re. what we find behind it) Original walls are plaster. Any advice on how to go about doing this would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Pawmer,

Since no one else answered, I would just rip it down and hope for the best. If you're fortunate the paneling is nailed up and not glued. If it's glued, guess what you'll be doing over christmas? Good luck Don C.
