I have a fairly large(10' x 12') fairly expensive sisal rug that I rolled up and stored two years ago. Things got piled on top of it, flattening the roll. Upon unrolling it today, I found that there are large, deep, very noticeable "creases" or "fold marks" in the rug.

Is there any way to get out these creases?

On a hot day, unroll it out in the sun. After about an hour and the carpet is pretty warm, fluff it with your fingers. Heat will make most stiff cold carpets, become limp rags.

Or you can use steam, not hot water, to help relax it.
