To Jack et al. ,

Tomorrow, finally, is the pour for my 24 sq 2 story detached garage.

My question involves the manner in which I attach the second floor walls to the first floor. Do I face nail through the bottom plates of the second floor walls directly to the joists or do I deck the floor first and then erect and attach the second floor walls? Are there any special anchors necessary or any special nailing pattern?

Nothing special here. Deck the floor first and if you live in tornado alley, Nail the hell out of it. Almost forgot, always put down a bead of caulking under your walls before erecting them.

I just sent you the info you requested. Right out of the Builders Bible, which cannot be purchased at local book store.
