I saw a painted wall on a tv show...it was 6 or 7 coats of glazed cobalt blue...the effect was wonderful ...almost translucent. I'd like to try the same thing with sage green in my kitchen and gold/brown in my hallway. My question is what is the ratio of paint/glaze/water to use AND if by some chance I don't like the look..can I just repaint full strength over it or do I need to re-prime the wall? Your quick reply would be appreciated because I'm just staring at the walls right now and I have the paints/glaze and primer sitting there waiting. Thanks!

I have to admit, as long as I have been painting I never learned that much about faux finishes, usually interior decorators are brought in for this or the home/business owners do it, in my neck of the woods anyway. I do however have a few links on the subject for you to check out until someone with more faux finish knowledge than I comes around.
