Hi all. This is my first post and visit to the forum. The layout and setup are terrific.

Does anyone have a recipe for making a windshield cleaner/degreaser? Something that cleans the glass and removes the oily/ greasy residue? No commercial cleaners really do the trick.

Any and all suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I've used Bon Ami and Ajax and found that they both work. I thought that Ajax might be to abrasive but I found that it did no harm to the glass and actually did a better job than Bon Ami. Use it with a sponge on a dampened windshield and rinse well.

Hi well you can use pure vinigar as this is an acidic substance and cuts through grease quite well, but leaves the smell so when done with the vinigar use a normal cleaner to go over the glass to counter act the smell, I hope this helps a little, Handyman
