I am putting in Wilsonart laminate in my hallway. I am thinking of putting it on my stairs. Can it be done. Do you float it or do you glue it directly.
Also is there a saw to cut my metal door jams in my hallway. If not I guess I will have to use a hacksaw.
Thanks AL

Al, you can install it on your stairs. You glue it direct and use a step down molding, not a stair nose. I like to use Bostik's Fast Set 100 to glue it.
For metal door casings the hacksaw is probably the best way to go.
Good luck.

Steve
Thanks for the advice. Is there any reason why I can't use stair nosing?

AL, you can, but it's much harder to get a rock solid fit and that's really important on a stair.
