Ok...we've got the Parquet flooring down, now what? Will we need to apply a sealer? Do we need to sand the floor (which already has a finish) before applying any sealer? What about the small spaces where the floor meets cabinets, where they are too close to the floor for moldings, do we need to fill it with something?

floor with a finish already? Just a sealer? Stop... First thing is to undersand wood. If your floor has a sealer on itthan it must have a sanding sealer on it. Is this what you speak of? If so yes you need to apply a top coat on it. I love a product called Fabulon... Dries quick and has a nice finish.
