IM INSTALLING NEW OAK FLOORING AND WILL STAIN IT A LITTLE DARKER FIRST. dOES THE WOOD NEED TO BE SANDED BEFORE STAINED? IS THERE REALLY A NON-GRAIN RAISING STAIN? WHATS IT CALLED, IE. WHO MFG IT?

ALSO, SOME SAY TO SET A BEAD OF GLUE ON THE TONGUES TO SEAL CRACKS. IS THAT CORRECT?
