Due to pet urine, the carpet has delaminated at the seam adjoining the two large room sections. The size of the delamination is 4 feet along the seam and approx. 1 foot deep on either side of the seam. Unfortunately this occurs directly in the middle of the room, in a high traffic area. The carpet is only 1 year old. Does anyone have any suggestions on repairing the delaminated area? How can I get it to restick to the floor? Thanks, LZ

You'll have to replace the seaming tape. This is a special tape with adhesive built in. It also requires a seaming iron to melt the adhesive so both sides of the seam get gled together. You might be better off calling the people that installed the carpet for you in the first place.

Hi, I am about to start laying carpet and found tape that does not require heating only walking across a couple of times to put some pressure. It is made in US and is great.
