what adesive do i use to put down carpet tiles

Hi Val:
Carpet tiles aren't supposed to be glued down. The beauty of this carpeting system is that if you damage one of the tiles, you can take it up and replace it with another.
Just put the tiles down like a large jigsaw puzzle and hold the edges down with the base board. Once they settle down and are walked on for a while, you'll be surprised how difficult it is to take up a tile.
