The dryer runs, but it takes forever to dry the clothes. I cleaned the lint line (which was not that full.) Whats my next test? By the way, it's a gas dryer.

Hi:icinj

If the dryer will dry the clothes in the normal time limit it use to, with the vent line totally removed from the back of the dryer, there may still be a restriction.

Often times the baffle door on the exhaust vent outside the house becomes restricted. Check that it opens and closes freely.

Loof up the exhaust discharge shoot in the back of the dryer and also check the volumn of air flow out of the dryers exhaust. May have a restriction inside the dryer or in the fan squirrel cage blower.

Check the archives, in this forum, for other possibilities.

Good Luck,
