I have an Amana High Efficiency Furnace with electronic ignition. The burners will light but after 3-5 seconds will go out. The cycle will repeat several times. We have had the flame sensor and gas valve replaced. But no change. Any suggestions. Thanks

Hi:mjoseph102

After discribing what has already been done in an attempt to correct the problem and it still isn't fixed, You may need a service agency.

With today's modern electronics and safety devices installed on furnaces, it often takes technical diagnostic work to arrive at a solution. A safety device could be defective or shutting down the furnace for good cause.

I assume you already have had an Amana service dealer replace those two componets. You didn't say. If so, call them back. If not, you'll need to contact the local dealer and have them locate and correct the problem.

Item's that you might check for is a good grounds at the main computer controls. Should be a green wire. Also check for any loss wires everywhere and be sure the forced vent fan connections <wires & hoses> are sercured.

Good Luck,
