The belt on my hotpoint gas dryer is broken, but I can't figure out how to get the new one on. We took all the screws out of the front of the dryer, but with all the wires in the way I cannot figure out how to slip the belt on. Any suggestions?

Hi:kathy
The belt gets installed from the front of the drum. With the front panel removed and the dryer top cover lifted up, the only wires that should be there are those connected to the door safety switch.
Slip the belt over the drum from the front and place it on the drum where the old belt marks are on the drum.
Then from the back of the dryer, install the belt around the pulleys and over the belt tensioner arm. This is where the wires will be. Work around them with you hands to install the new belt.
Good Luck,
