I have a Rheem A/C model RPMC-o3ojaz. The A/C stopped cooling. I checked the outside unit and the breaker on the unit tripped so Iturned the power off and reset the breaker. When I turned the power back on I heard the condensor working but the fan was not turning. The cap does not look abnormal nor is it leaking. The fan turns freely. The fan motor has three wires; brown, orange and black. The brown and orange go to the cap and the black goes to the circuit board which has a relay on it. With the power on, the voltage on the orange and brown wires is 120v each. Shorting the two test pins on the board activates the relay but the fan still does not turn. An ohm test on the fan resulted with 670 ohms. I'm going to replace the cap first, just in case. Does anyone have any other suggestions.

Match voltage and microfarad of the old capacitor.
