Hello,
I have an RCC36A2B Amana condensing unit with a fan that is not turning. The fan is not locked up and will spin by hand so in reading some of the other posts on this forum, I tried replacing the capacitor. This did not fix the problem. The condensor itself "sounds" like it is running except for the fan. Should I replace the fan next? Are there some tests I should run first? (voltage checks?).
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Marty in Texas

Verify that your motor is getting 240VAC between BK27 (black) and VT20 (violet) with demand.

I verified that voltage is 240V (242) between BK27 (black) and VT20 (violet) with demand.

240V at motor with stat calling, motor no worky, bad motor.
Solution = replace motor.
