Hi, I need to fill a basement window opening and I'm curious about the best and correct way of doing this. The previous owner of the house seemed to build some sort or wood frame and put plywood over it...obviously it didn't last! It is not a good location for a window so I'm not interested in installing one either.
Would it be best to fill it with poured concrete or blocks. My house is older and the basement seems to be block type foundation.
Any other tips would be great.
Thanks

This area isn't used for a bedroom is it? What are your local egress requirements?

No, it's an unfinished basement. Local codes to seem to be a problem with this.
