I bought a house that has a bricked front and vinyl on the rest. The brick has been sprayed some how to look greyish looking. Where it is chipped it looks like regular brick. What is this and how did they do it? Is it put on after it is installed or was it shipped that way? It is ok under the eaves but in the open it has lightened up to much. I would like to darken it up on every other one or so to stagger the color. Any ideas

Has the brick been painted?

No its not paint. It looks like the bricks are sprayed lightly with a liquid concrete type mixture. The mortar is normal like on all houses and not covered by the stuff. Its like they were made that way.

They were made that way, or someone took the time to coat the faces before laying the brick.. can you post a picture?

I would if I knew how to do it. Any suggestions?
