So I just bought a forclosed home that is less than 4 years old and I see the home has been prewired with a GE Concord 4 home security system. I do not know the passcode for the system and I know that at the external phone box the line has been disconnected.

The issue I have is that every few minutes the alarm keypad beeps. If I press the status button it tells me there is a phone failure.

I would love it if I could get a new passcode and disable the phone feature.

I've resorted to disconnecting the power and battery leads, as it beeps every five or so minutes and keeps the family awake at night, but I'd love a better solution. No local GE provider is willing to even look at it for less than $300.

Any GE Experts?

Default installer code is 4321, see if that works. You need that code to get into programming and turn things off as well as to get the master code.
